Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing to go for therapy for the first time can be frightening and confusing. You may have many questions to ask and we respect that no question is “stupid” or ‘silly”.  Some frequently asked questions are:

1. Are you covered my OHIP?  Will my Insurance cover your Services?

Therapists at the centre are not covered by OHIP .  Some therapists may be covered by Extended Health Care Benefits. You may wish to check with your Insurance provider to learn what requirements are necessary for coverage.

2. Do you work evenings and weekends?

Yes, many of our therapists work evenings and weekends.

3. What are your fees?

Each therapist arranges his/her own fee schedule so you will have to discuss this with your therapist.

4. How will I chose the right therapist for me or my family?

If you are calling the Centre for a referral you will speak to our Director, Annette Kussin. Annette will ask you some question about the problem your are experiencing and the services you think you need. Based on this quick intake Annette will refer you to the most appropriate therapist.

You may also check web page of each therapist, and call them directly with your questions.

It is important to feel that you have found the right therapist. If after the initial meeting you feel that the therapist is not right for you or your family you can ask the therapist or Annette for a new referral.  Your therapist may also decide that you need a different therapist with more suitable experience or qualifications for your particular situation or problem and refer you to another therapist at the Centre or elsewhere.
