Riva Mylabathula is a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist with the OCSWSSW (Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers). Riva holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University, Masters in Counselling Psychology from Calgary, Alberta, and Post Graduate Certificate in Couple and Family Therapy Studies with Guelph University. Riva offers Clinical Supervision (Dyadic, Group and Individual) for Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO), Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) and Registered Social Workers (OCSWSSW).

Riva has provided psychotherapy for over 15+ years. She works with individuals, couples, families, and provides clinical supervision. Riva is trained in trauma informed counselling, grief and bereavement and works with a wide variety of areas such as anxiety, depression, couples’ issues, affect dysregulation, stress management and more. Part of her therapeutic approach incorporates elements of Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Approach with a Psychodynamic attachment-based lens.

Riva understands that engaging in therapy can help bridge personal struggles into new insights of healing. Whether you are experiencing current difficulties or a long-standing challenge, therapy is an opportunity for healing and self-growth. As you gain insights and listen to your inner voice, Riva will work with you to establish healthier and more effective patterns of living, as past patterns for survival, may not be the way you want to live now.
