Whether you are dealing with difficult emotions that get in the way of your productivity and peace of mind; desiring better experiences with a loved-one, friend or co-worker; struggling to sit with the discomfort of uncertainty and change; or wanting to become the best version of yourself, I have the skills, significant experience and training, to help you make the changes you want to see.

***IN PERSON AND VIRTUAL SESSIONS***

I value the inherent worth of people and believe that we know what’s best for us. Therefore, I take a strengths-based, collaborative approach to working with clients. You are the expert in your life; therapy provides you the opportunity to partner with a professional who works with you to identify the goals and changes you want to see, and to move you in that direction.

Like many therapists, I too have walked the journey of the client; worked through my own discord; and, ultimately, learned to appreciate the complexity for what it means to be human. I use this sensibility to guide my work and place a high value on the therapeutic relationship I develop with clients. I will continue to gauge and nurture this relationship, while maintaining the high professional standards and boundaries to which I am held.

My approach to therapy is integrative, blending therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Family Systems, and other models, to address your unique needs. I take a strengths-based, culturally sensitive approach to working with clients. I work with adults (18 and older) to address a number of therapeutic issues including:

  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Relationship issues
  • Life transitions
  • Grief
  • Work/Life Balance
  • Low Self Esteem
  • Cross-cultural Issues
  • Racial Identity
  • Loneliness and Isolation

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW), Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and have a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto, specializing in Mental Health. I have been working with individuals experiencing various levels of distress — and their families — since 2007. In addition to my training in multiple modalities, I engage in on-going training to ensure my knowledge and skills remain current and that I can address the ever-evolving and complex issues clients bring to therapy.

Finally, I work from a place of hope and believe everyone has the potential to improve their life regardless of the challenges they may have encountered. Should you entrust me to walk this journey with you, I will continue to maintain the high ethical standards expected of a client-centred practice. For more about me and my practice, please visit my website at:
